GROUND UP

Steeped in green early efforts to bring more creative design to green building, the Prospect House is built using a 100% post consumer recycled styrofoam and portland building block along with many other pioneered features earning a LEED Platinum rating.
All downstairs windows and doors were fabricated in house using triple pane glass and remilled salvaged beams.
We proved that green building could be affordable with appropriate design by beating the standard square foot cost-to-build price of the time for similar homes by over 30%.

Custom doors including handmade hardware were part of the unique and superinsulated package

Large southfaces glass was part of the passive solar design. Fabricated using all remilled salvage Douglas Fir, recycled steel, and triple pane glass

As an artists eccentric escape, the Hill Pod was designed with five levels of dynamic spaces including a japanese soaking tub and recording studio. Efficiency was also a key factor as this house achieved an approximate LEED Gold rating

Corten Steel and large overhangs were part of the effort to make this house virtually maintenance free
